The Domain Bahrain is a luxury boutique hotel that inhibits a socially charged members club, in the heart of a bustling business district, the Diplomatic area Bahrain. The sleek 36-storey, brand new 131-keys social club and boutique hotel is a new cutting-edge hospitality concept in the Middle East that focuses on sociability, entertainment and technology.
The luxury boutique hotel’s slogan “Stay, Work, Play” represents the blurring lines between business and leisure. Media, entertainment, technology, style and sociability are all embedded into one luxury, innovative experience. The social element is present throughout the hotel, giving guests the opportunity to stay, eat, work, relax, network and socialize at The Domain, either as a regular guest or through the club’s membership.
An app has been developed to enable guests and members to customize their experience before and during their stay and to interact with one another. The app is the Domain’s private social platform “The Conversation”. The emphasis on sociality is further emphasized by the eclectic, reverse-mix of the hotel-club’s dining and entertainment outlets.
With a total of nine social spaces, consisting of restaurants, bars and lounges, The Domain Bahrain is a destination for food culture. Ranging from Japanese, South of France and Basque to Italian-Lebanese, foodies and gourmands from around the world will be spoilt for choice.
The Domain sidesteps a traditional hotel lobby for an entrance lobby where each guest is greeted by a Domain Manager, who ushers them up to their room to check them in and introduce them to their butler. Rooms and suites are all serviced by floor butlers, who handle everything once the guest is checked in.
The Domain Bahrain invited us for a meeting and an exclusive private tour. During the meeting, they explained the concept behind the Domain Bahrain. They showed us the nine restaurants and lounges, the various suites and rooms, all with a breathtaking view.
The Domain Bahrain will “soft” open on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. Most of the suites and rooms as well as two of the hotel’s social spaces will open, including Le Sauvage – a grill room and Le Domain [34] featuring cuisine from the South of France. We are looking forward to the opening!
The amazing team at Saks Fifth Avenue invited Obai & Hill to preview their latest Fall/Winter Collection. Bahrain’s fashion bloggers and our team divided into groups to style our own mannequins. Racing through the department store, we could not help but get distracted by all the pieces we wanted to purchase for ourselves. The Obai & Hill team divided into two groups, where one group focused on styling a woman ready-to-wear outfit, and the other focused on a man ready-to-wear outfit. We styled our mannequins based on how the Obai & Hill woman and man would dress during fall.
We enjoyed mingling with the Saks team and bloggers over canapés and fresh juices. We had the best time at this event and would like to thank the Saks Fifth Avenue team again for inviting us to such a fabulous event and for the goodie bags filled with beauty essentials!

Obai & Hill organized a Healthy Fasting Workshop with Holistic Health Coach Muneera Obaidli at Organic Foods & Café. On a Saturday morning, a group of people attended the Healthy Fasting Workshop. Muneera Obaidli educated the attendees about the various methods one can be healthy during the Holy Month of Ramadan. She recommends that one should drink 2 liters of water mixed with 1/2 a teaspoon of sea salt because it helps with dehydration. In addition, she recommends to avoid caffeine and sugar to curb cravings.
Muneera Obaidli demonstrated her Super Probiotic Green Smoothie and cups were passed out to the attendees. In addition, Muneera’s Ramadan Detox Soup was also passed out to the attendees to test. The recipes were handed out at the end of the event. Ameera Al Hammadi won a basket filled with products from Organic Foods & Cafe and Vida. Mariam Al Mansoori won a voucher for Muneera’s 10 Day Vegan Fast Program worth BD 111. The event was a success – all of the attendees were eager to learn more tips and wrote down notes throughout the workshop!
A collaborative effort between the Obai & Hill team with our Creative Director’s mark and the skillful chefs at Maki, the Wafa Maki was created to introduce a new concept dish to the already tantalizing menu.
A delicious Crab and Avocado roll wrapped in Umeboshi Paper drizzled with the restaurant’s award winning Oliver’s Table Extra Virgin Olive Oil, topped with Sesame, Wasabi flakes and served on a bed of greens.
The Wafa Maki is now available on the menu. We’d love for you to try it and let us know what you think!

On Saturday, June 22, we planned Arabbella’s First Year Anniversary at Green Diamond Boutique. It was a celebratory shopping experience – and our client Green Diamond offered 20% off all items in-store to the guests. The exciting event activities included a Make-up Station, where guests applied make-up on sheets with face templates, three artists from Cartoon Planet who live sketched the guests, and Design Your Shopping Bag Station. The event was full of fashionable guests from start to finish!
Members of the press and many bloggers attended the event to support their fellow bloggers Muneera Bubshait and AlAnood AlSubait.
