For the first time in the region, McDonald’s Bahrain launched the Share Box on its menu – a cause for celebration!
The McDonald’s Share Box offers a little something for everyone; containing a variety of Chicken & Beef burgers as well as mini Bites for all members of the family to enjoy.
Members of the media & local bloggers were invited to join the celebration of the launch; family-fun festivities spread across two days at the re-imaged branch with the next generation design in Najibi Centre, Saar.
Guests along with their families and friends posed for memorable photos in a McDonald’s custom-made photo booth with funny props and expressed their thoughts on what ‘sharing’ means to them on a specially designed “Share Board” that was passed over to McDonald’s Arabia to be featured on their social media pages.
Abdulla Adel Fakhro, the Director of Fakhro Restaurants Co. W.L.L. gave a warm welcoming speech and shed some light on the idea behind the Share Box, how it is a menu item of great value, and wished everyone a pleasant evening.
The Obai & Hill team enjoyed working on the launch events and are excited to have more projects in the works for McDonald’s Bahrain.

Celebrating the launch of the family Share Box, the first of its kind in the region, McDonald’s Bahrain – with the support of Obai & Hill – are hosting two fun and exciting events to emphasize on the caring & sharing aspect of the Share Box. These events are exclusive to members of the media and to Bahrain’s enthusiastic bloggers and their families. We promise a fun, family night to remember! Join us at the McDonald’s branch in the Najibi Centre, in Saar! Kindly RSVP to wafa@obaiandhill.com to confirm your attendance.
If you’re a member of the media, this invitation is for you (bloggers see below)

Fyunka is a fashion accessories line created by Jeddah-based designer Alaa Balkhy. Fyunka is an Arabic slang word and can be defined as a ribbon bow. Balkhy was inspired by pop culture and Middle Eastern insights, which she demonstrates in her designs. First launched in June 2011, Fyunka has become hugely popular because of its strong fashion focus and stylish illustrations that most women in the Middle East can relate to. Fyunka will participate at BAB Market, a contemporary outdoor festival at Bab Al Bahrain and Manama Souq on March 21, 22 and 23 from 4 pm to 10 pm each day. Balkhy will be selling her exclusive handbags, tote bags, cosmetic pouches, pillows, and more products. At BAB Market, Balkhy will showcase her latest pieces inspired by the Arabian veil or the burqa.
The Fyunka brand is all about adding a pop of design into one’s wardrobe with quirky quotes, illustrations and a range of colors that brightens one’s day. Balkhy likes to illustrate designer bags, shoes, traditional Oud bottles, veils such as the burqa, and kohls and combines them with witty Arabic quotes when creating her pieces. Using both canvas and PVC, she creates bags that she believes would become an extension of young women, their character and their style. Fyunka stocks a limited quantity of her collections at boutiques in twelve cities, including Green Diamond in Bahrain.
Obai & Hill is thrilled to represent and assist Fyunka at BAB Market. For more information about Fyunka’s stall at BAB Market contact sara@obaiandhill.com.
